These terms govern your use of BuildFocus (the "Service"), construction management software for contractors and their teams. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for that company.

Company accounts are created by private invitation. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. Company owners decide who in their company has access and what role each person holds.

You keep ownership of the information you put into the Service, including projects, estimates, proposals, invoices, change orders, time records, photos and files ("Your Data"). You give us permission to store and process Your Data only to provide and improve the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of Your Data and for having the right to upload it, including customer information.

Do not misuse the Service. This includes attempting to access another company's data, interfering with the Service, uploading malicious files, or using the Service to break the law. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other users at risk.

The Service helps you prepare estimates, proposals, invoices, draw requests and change orders and collect electronic approvals. You are responsible for the content and pricing of every document you create and send, and for compliance with the laws and licensing rules that apply to your work and contracts. The Service does not provide legal, tax, accounting or financial advice.

We work to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change. Keep your own copies of records you cannot afford to lose.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end access for violations of these terms. Company owners may ask us to export or delete their company's data.

We may update these terms. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
